Great ideas for what to wear

I am a huge fan of the photographer I am about to link you to. She is a stud in the industry and I took her workshop early last year. Her clients are always wearing super funky, colorful clothing which makes for great pictures. Go take a peek and drool over the images...one day...one day.

I Guess I'm Lonely Today because...

I keep posting to my blog like I'm talking to you folks. But seriously, do you guys ever read this blog here: http://gofugyourself.typepad.com/go_fug_yourself/???? I have it linked on my blog waaay down to the bottom right. It is seriously outdoing itself today.

Go now and read the post about Ryan Cabrera (even if you don't know who he is) and make sure to read the poll that goes with the post and vote. HILARIOUS.

Then, they have a post about the Spice Girls that had me snorting out loud.

I could post a ton of pics right now, but I guess I'll sign off for today. I seem kind of pathetic!
Happy Weekend!!

Shout out for Christmas Tutus

So in the post below I referenced Sonya and her beautiful tutus. Well, she has a whole Christmas line of tutus, too! They are incredibly unique and gorgeous.

If you want to see pictures she has an email she can send you with like 10 to look at. Tell her Sara sent you and maybe she'll give you a deal!

Her email is: sonya92831@yahoo.com

Great for an early Christmas present, or a Christmas party, or just for fun!

My Work is in a Magazine!!!

OK, it's not exactly the work I love most that's in there - it's in a.....sewing magazine and it's pictures of.... sewing machine presser feet, but still!!!!
If you're in a bookstore or even your local grocery store try finding the magazine "Threads" and browse through to page 33. I have a 3 or 4 page spread of pictures ;-)
I'm so proud! Now if I could just get some pictures of kids and families in a mag...

P.S. ALSO!! I was in Baby Towne Spring in Old Town Spring and have more work to tell you about! Remember my tutu shoot I did? This one? http://saramoonphotography.blogspot.com/2007/07/are-you-ready-for-some-tutus-part-i.html
Well, Sonya (the tutu maker) got tags made with one of the pictures I took! A beautiful picture of Miss Ella. If you see tutus in your local children's boutique, make sure to look at the tags to see if it's Sonya's (with my picture!) Very cool!

Another for My Photog Friends

I have been meaning to blog about this product forever, but wanted to have a pic to go along with it. No such luck - I'm never in pictures it seems!

I ordered a great lens bag (similar to a shootsac) from a gal in Australia and I'd like to brag about it. You can check it out here: http://habbychic.blogspot.com/2007/06/blog-post.html

I've been thrilled with it. There are 2 versions, the hip hugger and body hugger. I have the body hugger. She can customize it and you can choose from tons of fabrics and it's all a bit less expensive than the shootsac.

Go check it out!

For my Photographer Friends/Lurkers

Hi Chicks Who Click!

I am shooting my first wedding tomorrow (wish me luck!) and have rented several lenses. Just wanted to spread the good word about http://www.lensrentals.com/. They have been absolutely amazing. On time, friendly, helpful (I had a question about one of the lenses that they promptly answered.)

I rented the following:
canon 70-200/2.8 L,
an 8mm fisheye,
and da bomb lens of my dreams the canon 24-70L.

I don't want to give them back.

As some of you know, my favorite photographer in the world is Barb Uil (a.k.a. Jinky). I wouldn't be the photographer I am today without her inspiration and guidance and sheer b.r.i.l.l.i.a.n.c.e.

She not only inspires my photography dreams but she has GREAT taste in music. I discovered both of the singer/songwriters on my website through Jinky: Elizabeth Mitchell and Frances England.

Jinky got to photograph Frances England in San Francisco not too long ago and she blogged about it today! Go take a peek: http://blog.jinkyart.com.au/

and to buy Frances's cd: www.francesengland.com. Soooooo good for the kid in your life or YOU!

A New Moon

Had my big ultrasound on Friday and although the technician was a real hoot (not!), it was just breathtaking to see my new little. Somehow, the second time around, it's even more cool and amazing. And I was able to stick my plan of not finding out if it's a girl or boy. So the surprise is on!
Behold:

Whoa.

Things are getting a little cah-raaaaaazy around here...and for those who know me I am not a multi-tasker. I tend to get a little overwhelmed. Send good thoughts.

Here are some recent session pics!
